Applies to vehicles: with car telephone kit
Important: Available Bluetooth mobile phones must be shown on the MMI display Link.
Turn the rotary pushbutton to select a mobile phone and press the rotary pushbutton.
To bond the mobile phone with Hands-Free Profile, turn the rotary pushbutton to Handsfree and press the rotary pushbutton. A 4-digit PIN number will appear in the MMI display.
To enter the 4-digit PIN shown in the display, select Yes Fig. 2. Enter this PIN number on the mobile phone while the vehicle is stationary. You will be given about 30 seconds to complete the entry, or
To enter any PIN code, select No Fig. 2. Enter any PIN code via the speller Link. Then also enter this PIN code on the mobile phone while the vehicle is stationary. You will be given about 30 seconds to complete the entry.
Confirm the bonding process on the mobile phone when prompted to do so. A mobile phone symbol -1- Fig. 3 will appear in the status line of the MMI display when the mobile phone has successfully bonded.
The external car aerial is not used. The handset* cannot be used.
Note
  • If your mobile phone also supports the SIM Access Profile, the car telephone kit will suggest that you use the SIM Access Profile after you have bonded the mobile phone with the Hands-Free Profile Link.
  • Audi does not recommend using a mobile telephone with Hands-Free Profile.
